British Cavalry Brass Bed Plate – 17th/21st Lancers Medals/Badges An original set of GermanAn original British Army cavalry bed plate made of polished brass, engraved with the regimental title 17th 21st LANCERS and surmounted by the regiments crest the Death or Glory (skull and crossbones) emblem. These brass bed plates were affixed to barrack room bed frames, kit boxes, or lockers to identify the regiment and, at times, the individual soldier. This example is from the 17th 21st Lancers, one of the British Armys most storied cavalry
